How to Play

Shift your pieces according to their unique movement rules. The King can only travel one square at a time within the nine-pointed star. Guards must stay within diagonal moves within the palace. Elephants move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot move to the opponent's side. Horses move one square straight and then one square diagonally, if not impeded by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, acting as powerful attackers. Catapults move like chariots but must require a screen piece to capture exactly one piece. Pawns move forward one square and gain new movement after crossing the river. Take the opponent's general to win the game. Think ahead your moves carefully to defeat the computer opponent.
